Uncharted: A Floating Fashion Show
August 31st, 12:00 - 17:00, Amsterdam Main Canals
Drainwashed by Barbara Assiso
Uncharted disrupts the usual boundaries of the fashion industry, offering a stage to emerging designers who are too often left outside the city’s established runways. By using our community network, we’re opening space for bold new voices to claim their place, taking fashion out of exclusive rooms and into the heart of the city.
Meet the Designers
This is the emerging talent redefining what Amsterdam fashion can be. Uncharted gives them the space, the stage, and the city to make it theirs.
A 20-year-old designer entering their third year at AMFI, Robin draws heavily from their Polish roots, weaving Slavic culture into bold, personal designs. Beginning with cosplay and costume-making, their craft has evolved into garments that balance storytelling with meticulous construction. Robin’s work transforms heritage into something unapologetically present.

An AMFI Fashion & Design graduate, Bridget’s work connects heritage and tradition with modern techniques to merge the past and present. Her graduation collection, Head Above Water, responded to the Dutch reality of rising seas with functional, symbolic garments inspired by Zeeland fisherman’s sweaters, safetywear, and traditional dress. Every piece is built with precision, purpose, and the intention to last.

Iain pushes the boundaries of tailoring, blending influences from sound, visual art, and cognitive science into innovative frameworks for design. His graduation project reimagined the suit through color palettes inspired by paintings, the philosophies of music genres, and equestrian heritage. The result: a collection where each look evolves from the last, reflecting legacy through constant reinvention.

Barbara Assiso is a conceptual Venezuelan designer currently studying Fashion & Textile Technologies at AMFI. Her work is drawn to the aesthetics of ugliness, not only in the body, but in the world around us, embracing mess, fear, and emotional rawness as tools for storytelling through unconventional shapes and materials. Barbara sees fashion as a way to confront rather than comfort, with the main goal to create work that doesn’t just attract attention, but makes people feel something real.

A trumpet, a bass, and a vocalist. Three musicians are bringing a live soundtrack to Uncharted. Their sound moves with the boat, shaping the atmosphere and marking each moment of the show.
Meet the Musicians
A Toronto-born singer, trumpet player, and producer based in Amsterdam, Kody blends jazz training with pop production. With degrees from The New School and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he has composed for brands including Sennheiser and OYSHO, and music supervised the Berlin Commercial-nominated short HALLUCINATE.

A bass player performing with artists in both New York and Amsterdam, Wieke is all about funky, groovy tunes. As a true 90s chick, from her style to the music she loves, Wieke brings a mix of rhythm, personality, and romance to every performance.
Wieke Müller @wiekemuller
Singer-songwriter Maya Mae blends contemporary RnB, soul, and urban pop, pairing delicate harmonies with bold, vigorous lyrics. Influenced by Motown, funk, fusion jazz, and modern icons like Rosalia, SZA, and Solange, she crafts music with a spiritual undercurrent—layering her vocals with eastern-inspired sounds and electronic drums. Alongside writing and performing, she directs music videos and writes screenplays, merging her musical and visual storytelling. Since debuting in 2020 with Leave Me Alone, followed by Breathe Me and Delusional, she’s now at work on her debut EP.

Uncharted will chart its own course through Amsterdam’s waterways, transforming the city into an open-air runway.
